Word of mouth is the BEST form of marketing and advertising and that’s what your social media tree is. It’s that simple. Posting online and keeping in front of customers and POTENTIAL customers has to be a main priority. I know it can seem overwhelming and a lot to do, but once you get a system or format down, you can really get all of your posting and blogging done within a half hour a day.
Since everyone uses social media differently it’s very important to work with several of the main apps like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, Google+ and YouTube. Start easy with just one or two and then slowly build off of that so that you don’t get overwhelmed but think of WHY we have these “social” media platforms, TO BE SOCIAL. Seems obvious but we do want to connect with friends, family and businesses that we take an interest in. We get virtual word of mouth on where to eat, where to shop, what’s cool, what’s funny and new places or things to explore and thats why businesses need to utilize social media apps, being easily tagged and linked to their customers.
Content? I’m going to always say the same thing. Vary it up and keep it interesting providing value to your customer via news, information, something funny, recipes or life hacks and maintain a consistent schedule at least a few times a week if you’re just getting started, for the best results.
